We are a start-up Brazilian company that works in PETROLEUM SCIENCES AND ENGINEERING area, aiming to improve evaluation and decision-making procedures for field development and management. We are focus to, develop new solutions in reservoir simulation, geo-engineering, petrophysics and economic evaluation and risk analysis. Our business is to develop projects, consultancy and research in several areas of Petroleum Science and Engineering, mainly related to Reservoir Engineering.
The proposal of SOLPE is to apply scientific and technological knowledge in the activity of Exploration & Production in an interdisciplinary way. One of the major goals is to contribute to the development and management of petroleum fields, developing technological solutions, Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I), software and training in Reservoir Engineering.
SOLPE’s core team consist of Ph.D., MS.c. and specialized analysist in different areas. Nowadays, we are part of a group of companies of the Technology-Based Incubator of University of Campinas (Unicamp) under Unicamp Innovation Agency (Inova) administration. SOLPE has been developed projects and services for oil companies and research centers, besides lecturing courses in petroleum science and engineering.
The company is based on Campinas-Brazil, an important city in the countryside of São Paulo state, located 100 km (62 mi) Northwest of São Paulo city, being the headquarter located inside the Unicamp Technology Center, , one of the most prestigious Brazilian technology universities. Campinas is one of the most economic-attractive regions in Brazil, especially those related to information technology, engineering and electronics, due to its efficient roads and airport infrastructure, qualified workforce and, universities and research centers.

Doctor of Philosophy in Petroleum Science and Engineering
Graduated in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - UFRN, Master of Science in Sanitary and Hidraulic Engineering from the University of São Paulo - USP, Doctor of Philosophy in Petroleum Science and Engineering from the University of Campinas - UNICAMP. Since 2006 has acted in projects related to reservoir engineering. Nowadays, he works in reservoir engineering, reservoir simulation, optimization and risk analysis. Integrated UNISIM Research Group/ UNICAMP, participated in projects developed for Baker Hughes and PETROBRAS, mainly in production strategy, smart wells and polymer. He is currently the founding partner and director of SOLPE.
Doctor of Philosophy in Petroleum Science and Engineering
Graduated in Physics from the São Paulo State University - UNESP, Master of Science in Petroleum Science and Engineering from the University of Campinas - UNICAMP, Doctor of Philosophy in Petroleum Science and Engineering also from UNICAMP. Since 2006 has developed projects in the area of reservoir simulation. Nowadays, he works in development and management field stages, more specifically in characterization of reservoirs integrated to geophysics, numerical simulation and economic evaluation of oil reservoirs. He completed his internship at the Geosciences Technology Center (CGG Brazil) in the reservoir geophysics area. Awarded with SPE Student Paper Contest, SPE Star Fellowship, 2009 Outstanding Student Chapter Award granted by Society of Petroleum Engineers - SPE. He is currently the founding partner and director of SOLPE.
Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science
Graduated in Computer Science and Master in Electrical Engineering from Santa Catarina State University (UDESC), Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Since 2006 he has worked with software development, and since 2010 focused on artificial intelligence and machine learning. Nowadays, the research interest areas are machine learning, computer vision, image processing and robotics. He has published several papers in scientific journals of international recognition and has been awarded as distinguished doctorate thesis and in many prizes programming competitions. Currently he is the data scientist of SOLPE.
Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering
Graduated in Computing Technology from the University of Campinas ‒ UNICAMP, Master in Electrical Engineering from UNICAMP, Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering from the UNICAMP. Since 2007 has acted in research projects involving the use of Information Visualization and Scientific Visualization techniques. He has acknowledgment in the areas of Computer Graphics, Digital Image Processing and Data Visualization. He was a volunteer researcher at the High Performance Computing Laboratory and 3D Environment in Scientific Visualization (Galileu) of the Center for Petroleum Studies (Cepetro). Awarded with 1st place, Research category, in the IV Embrapa Agricultural Informatics Trainees and Scholarship Works Exhibition. He is currently a data scientist of SOLPE.
Master in Computer Science
Graduated in Computational Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas - PUCC, Master in Computer Science from the University of Campinas - UNICAMP. Since 2003 has worked in software development in the area of R&D focused on the oil and gas sector. Integrated UNISIM Research Group/ UNICAMP, was project manager for the ADDLabs Laboratory at the Fluminense Federal University (UFF) and software engineer at Schlumberger. She is currently the software engineer of SOLPE.
Master of Science in Petroleum Science and Engineering
Graduated in Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on Petroleum from the University of Campinas - UNICAMP, Master of Science in Petroleum Science and Engineering also from UNICAMP. Since 2012 has been dedicated to reservoir engineering. Nowadays, she works in reservoir engineering area with emphasis on enhanced oil recovery. Worked in the Laboratory of Miscible Methods of Recovery at CEPETRO/ UNICAMP, conducting research on oil recovery through low salinity waterflooding in carbonate rocks. Awarded with 2015 Outstanding Student Chapter Award granted by Society of Petroleum Engineers - SPE. She is currently the petroleum engineer of SOLPE.
Master of Science Candidate in Petroleum Science and Engineering
Graduated in electrical engineering from the Federal University of Amazonas - UFAM and Master of Science Candidate in Petroleum Science and Engineering from the University of Campinas - UNICAMP. Since 2012 has been worked in research and development in petroleum engineering, mathematical modelling and computer simulation areas. Nowadays, he works in mathematical modeling, computer simulation and software development. He is currently the software engineer of SOLPE.
Master of Science Candidate in Computer Science
Graduated in Computer Science from the University of Santa Cruz - UESC. Since 2015 Acted on projects about RGB images segmatation. Nowadays, she is working on image processing systems and she is a Master of Science candidate from the University of Campinas - UNICAMP. She is currently the data scientist of SOLPE.

Computer Technician from SENAI. He is a BSc candidate in Computer Engineering from the University of Campinas - UNICAMP. He is currently a student of scientific initiation at SOLPE.
